Social Recreation Programs
We offer four year round Social Recreation Programs for young adults with a developmental disability
transitioning out of school. These programs offer the individual with life enriching experiences by providing
social, physical and recreational skills.
Hours and Location
All our Social recreation Programs run year-round, Monday - Friday from 9am-3pm
Carleton Place Social Recreation Program: This program is held at 104 Charles Street in Carleton Place,
Ontario
Program Activities
Each Social Recreation Program offers individualized programming based on each young adults specific needs.
Programming provides individuals with life skills training, employment/volunteer placements, social skill development as well as recreational based activities. These activities are designed to promote independence, provide vocational skills, and encourage social interaction and community involvement. Examples of some of the
programming offered at each Social Recreation Program include; weekly paper routes, outside laundry service, cooking, housekeeping, personal hygiene, crafting, musical therapy AND SO MUCH MORE....
